"PANSAKULA" MEMORIAL SERVICE
Impermanent indeed are formations,
Their nature is to arise and vanish,
Having arisen they cease,
Their appeasement is blissful.
“All conditioned things are impermanent”
-When one sees this with wisdom,
One turns away from suffering.
This is the path to purification.
Dear devotees and friends of the Dhamma,
Our dearest brother monk Ven. Kirinde Saddhanusari’s father, Mr. W. A. Piyasena passed away yesterday in Sri Lanka. He is one of our resident monks and has dedicated his time and effort rendering his services to the development and benefit of our Los Angeles Buddhist Vihara for over three years. As a form of gratitude, it is our duty and obligation to assist him in this time of need. The resident monks and devotees of the temple are organizing a "Pansakula" memorial service to transfer merits to Ven. Saddhanusari’s beloved father this Friday, April 15th 2016 at 7:30pm at the Los Angeles Buddhist Vihara in Pasadena. I would like to cordially invite all of you to join us at this event this evening.
May the blessings of the triple gem be with you.
